Currently Loving the Potter-a-thon going on right now... turn the channel to ABC Family NOW.

Currently Wishing that I didn't have to work tonight (bartending that is).

Currently Needing to lost about 20lbs... and to start running so I don't look like an ass at this race I'm supposed to be doing in may.

Currently Pissed that the strawberry seeds I planted are officially D.E.A.D. (Although I have already planted chamomile to make up for it)

Currently Finishing Matched by Allie Condie.

Currently Thinking about reading Water for Elephants.

Currently Excited about my promotion!!! But sad that I now have no time for blogging at work.

Currently Lusting about a Keep Calm and Carry On poster. I need one yesterday.

Currently Baking Oatmeal bread, recipe to come later.

Currently Depressed that the weekend is almost over :(

Currently Eating all kinds of terrible crap... time to change that!

Motivation

Every year I tell myself that if I buy new running shoes, it will make me want to work out. And I do... for about a week. Then I decide that sitting on my ass is more fun. Le Sigh.

I made a new years resolution that I was going to run a 5k at some point this year [which I figured would never really happen].

Rewind to Thursday... I'm sitting in my cubicle minding my own business when one of my friends/coworkers [an avid workoutaholic] says it would be fun for all of us to run a race together... more specifically, the Run for the Border Race.

Run for the Border takes place on cinco de mayo in downtown Cleveland. Its a team event... everyone wears giant sombreros and runs 3 to 3.5 mile run with no set course. Each team of 2 is given a map of the area and the locations of 5 checkpoints [which all happen to be bars]. Teams receive a green card that must be stamped after they complete a task, and enjoy an adult mexican beverage at each checkpoint.

I haven't run for leisure... ever, but bring on the tequila! I have until cinco de mayo to train, and not look like an asshole amongst coworkers who actually like running.

And to keep with tradition, I now own a pair of these:

[Nike Free Run+ 2  which I bought at finishline]

old habits die hard.

The End of the World

Praying for everyone in the whole world today... disasters in Japan, tsumani about to hit Hawaii and the West Coast of the US, Blizzards in Ohio, PA, and WV, Flooring in the Northeast, whirlpools, tornadoes, wars in the Middle East.

AWFUL.

Everyone please stay safe, and if you can, start watching Man vs. Wild to refine your survival skills.

I Love Magazines... and Ebay

I have a magazine addiction. Its bad.
If you have a magazine addiction too, then you should go to this eBay store.
Why you ask?

3 years of Shape Magazine- $6.00
1 year of Rachel Ray Magazine- $5.00
1 year of Woman's Day- $4.00
1 year of Fresh Home- $4.00

I think those are a few good reasons...
And yes, it's legit! I got myself a year subscription to Rachel Ray and my love a year subscription to Men's Health and they both have arrived! Be sure to check the seller's store frequently as selections are updated :)

Big (important stuff)

Tomorrow:

I will be affected by a BIG decision

that may or may not lead to a BIG opportunity

which will probably result in a BIG migraine

which I will attempt to kill with a BIG ass beer (or 3!)

which will probably give me a BIG hangover

and to conclude, I leave you with these beer-rings, which I find completely awesome
